Thanksabunch, James. I just love the odd shape of his space helmet. Nice change of pace from the usual bible shape.
Will do, Alan. I love Belamy, especially his Garth stuff which I tracked down after learning that it was a big influence on Alan Davis, but for some reason I never searched out any Dan Dare. That error in judgement will soon be fixed though :D
you guys have something really special with Comic Twart. Can't wait to buy a Comic Twart shirt or sketchbook, after i gets my Lunchnotes t-shirt that is, still waiting for my chrissamnee.com shirt too!
Chris, Is that Pteri from Pee-Wee's Playhouse? Will you have some of these ink sketches available at C2E2? I'm dreaming about the Lois and Jimmy Olsen drawings... and I like that new Archie! Take care, John Young
Wonderful composition, glad you went with the old school 50's Dan in space suit look.
ReplyDeleteCheck out Frank Bellamy's run on Dare. And his work generally; like his strip, Garth. Brilliant!
