About Me
I've done artwork for the graphic novel Capote in Kansas (which I received a nomination for the 2006 Russ Manning award for) and Queen and Country, both published by Oni Press, The Exterminators and American Splendor, published by DC/Vertigo and Checkmate, published by DC Comics as well as the Daredevil Annual: Blood of the Tarantula with writers Ed Brubaker and Ande Parks published by Marvel. I recently completed a graphic novel for Vertigo with writer Christos Gage and I'm currently working on the Marvel MAX series Dead of Night: Devil Slayer with writer Brian Keene. I live in the 'burbs with my lovely wife, Laura and our happy little cat Scout. All characters TM and © their respective owners. All artwork © Chris Samnee, and may not be republished elsewhere without express written permission.

No problem Chris! I hope you go to chicago next year as well. I need more sketches man. When I show this to people their jaws just drop. Thanks again for a fun weekend man.
Really nice!
When you say 'sketch', I'm thinking: really quick, and seeing the sheer volume of what you've produced at one convention, I'm thinking: really prolific.
But the level of detail you put into your 'sketches' (particularly the shadows and the sheerness of fabric and its draping on the woman's abdomen) -- how do you accomplish that in such a short period of time?
Incredible talent notwithstanding, of course... :)
Do you ever put words in the shadows of the clothes you draw?
There's a nice 'Steranko' quality to this one.
