Buffy is back!!
It's official, Dark Horse's Scott Allie announced in San Diego that Buffy is coming back to comics with none other than Joss Whedon himself behind the wheel. Laura and I are HUGE Buffy geeks so this is major news for us, and since it's set in continuity as "season 8" it just makes it that much cooler. Here's a drawing of Buffy (aka Sarah Michelle Gellar) to commemorate the news.

Exterminators #8
Check this out! It's from the Vertigo website.
Written by Simon Oliver; Art by Chris Samnee;

A special stand-alone issue with guest art by rising star Chris Samnee (Queen and Country) presents Henry with a problem that could turn out more tragic than any pitched battle with bugs: the dreaded "two girlfriends" conundrum — proving that the only force more potent than nature is the human heart.

Detour post!
I was gonna post photos from the trip to San Diego here but it looks like Laura already did all of the hard work for me (as per usual). Anyhoo, go check out Lunchnotes for some awful pictures of me, cute pics of Lulu and a sign that says "shitheads". Then next post'll have doodles, fer real.

Constantine
Here's another doodle to hold everyone over a few days. I'm getting close to deadline here so I'm trying to put all of my time and energy into my current project instead of sketching (or cussing at my stupid scanner). This is another piece where I just went straight to the finished product instead of pencilling. It looks a little frantic but I kind of like the immediacy of it. See ya in a few.

Dead Acres page 1
Alright folks, here's the first page to Dead Acres! Like I said the other day it's a pitch I was working on with Cullen Bunn a while back and really hope to flesh out some day. Until then I'll try to keep it alive in the blogoverse. Seven pages is all I ever got to do for this yarn but I'll post 'em here over the next week or so. Also, unlike any of my other work I was planning on lettering this myself so early test balloons are actually on the original art which will hopefully make it a little easier to follow along. Take care.
