Heroes Con: Storm and Panther God

This was also a pre-order and was a bit of a challenge since I've never drawn Panther God before. Hopefully, I pulled it off. Thanks Erica!

Heroes Con: DD vs. Swamp Thing

First, thanks to everyone who stopped by my table at Heroes Con. Laura was surprised my head fit through the door after all your nice compliments and kind words. We had a great time, saw lots of old friends and made lots of new ones. I'm also happy to report that my Batman and Catwoman piece fetched a very nice price of eight half hundos! :)

I did an ass-ton of sketches for Heroes, so sorry in advance if you get sick of them. Here is the first of the bunch. This one was pre-ordered before the show and I got a bit carried away with all the swampiness of it. Thanks Matt for such a fun suggestion!

Give a buck, win a sketch!

This weekend at Heroes Con I will be raffling off a con sketch in exchange for donations for The Hero Initiative.  In exchange for each dollar donated at my table, you will get one chance to win or six chances for five dollars.
Winner will receive a two character con sketch with characters of their choosing.  For more info or to donate to this very worthwhile organization, please stop by my table this weekend (table #323).

Punisher

I've been thinking a lot about the Punisher's skull emblem lately.  Yes, I realize I need a hobby outside of comics...

Anyway, after seeing the wonderfully stylized versions that guys like Dave Johnson and Paolo Rivera have taken with the skull I've found myself wondering, if I ever happen to get a shot a Punisher story, what direction my take on the logo would go.

So... yeah.  There ya go.  Thanks for lookin'!

Heroes Con Sketch List - Reminder!

My pre-order sketch list for Heroes Con is quickly filling up.  If you are interested and have not yet emailed me, please do so soon so I can get you on the list.  Details here.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!  If you want a sketch in your sketchbook, I CAN NO LONGER PUT YOU ON THIS LIST!  I've simply gotten too many sketchbook requests for this show.  This list is for sketches I can get done before the show.  If you want a sketch in your sketchbook, I will take them on a first come, first served basis.  I am only taking 8 sketches a day (possibly less on Sunday).  My list will start fresh each morning.  Please come see me as early as possible so I can try and get your sketchbook on my list.  Sorry for any confusion from my original post. Thanks and see you at the show!

Green Lantern Week: Torquemada

Heroes Con Sketch List

I'll be attending Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC on June 19-21 and am accepting pre-orders for con sketches.

My con sketch prices for 2009 are:

$50 for a single character in B&W on 9 x 12 bristol
$75 for two characters (on 1 page) in B&W on 9 x 12 bristol

All sketches will be personalized, no exceptions. If you'd prefer something drawn in your sketchbook I can put your name on the list, but this list is primarily for sketches that I can get done before the show.

If you know you will be attending Heroes Con and would like a sketch please drop me a line, my email address is in my profile. Please use "HEROES CON SKETCH LIST" as subject for the email.
If I am able, I will try to have your sketch done before the show, otherwise each sketch will be drawn at the show in the order I receive your emails.

I will most likely only be taking on about 8 sketches each day of the show so I can make each one as good as possible. Hopefully getting on the list will ensure that anyone who'd like a sketch can get one, and this way there's less wait for all you nice folks.

If this is out of your budget I will have blog sketches, prints, comics and other unannounced goodies starting at less than $5.

Green Lantern Week: Kilowog

Let's keep this Green Lantern moving right along with the absolute coolest, in my opinion anyway, looking GL in the Corps, Kilowog!

Green Lantern Week: G'nort

I'll have stories in the upcoming Blackest Night: Tales of the Corps #1 and #3 so obviously Green Lanterns have been on my mind a lot lately. So what better time than now to have a Green Lantern week, right?!

So without further ado here's another character along the lines of last week's Ch'p that most folks either love or hate, G'nort!
