Print Contest Winner!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! All of them were great - although some of you need to brush up on the definition of public domain! :) There were so many great suggestions, I couldn't pick just one so we have TWO winners for the print contest! Congratulations to Fred for his suggestion of the Tarzan/Ape print and Brian Jones for his suggestion of a 50's SciFi print of a giant preying mantis.  Both of you will get BOTH of these prints for your prize so please drop me a line with your mailing address.

Thanks again to everyone who entered the contest!  Stay tuned for another contest to be announced next week!

Ch'p

Since Scout has been watching squirrels out the window all morning I figured I'd take a crack at what I think is probably her favorite Green Lantern, Ch'p.

Project Comicon Sketch List

I'll be attending Project Comic Con in Bridgeton, Missouri on Saturday, June 6th and am accepting pre-orders for con sketches.

My con sketch prices for 2009 are:

$50 for a single character in B&W on 9 x 12 bristol
$75 for two characters (on 1 page) in B&W on 9 x 12 bristol

All sketches will be personalized, no exceptions. If you'd prefer something drawn in your sketchbook I can put your name on the list, but this list is primarily for sketches that I can get done before the show.

If you know you will be attending Project Comic Con and would like a sketch please drop me a line, my email address in my profile.
If able I will try to have your sketch done before the show, otherwise each sketch will be drawn at the show in the order I receive your emails.

If this is out of your budget I will have comics and blog sketches available starting at $5.

Look out, Rick!!
Is anyone out there not reading Walking Dead yet?

Black Lightning

I still miss the '70s style collared costume... but this one is starting to grow on me.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if a Black Lightning film is ever made that the studio manages to get Sinbad to do a cameo, or maybe reprise his role in flashback scenes:)

Funeral For a Friend. Superman s Funeral.

Huntress vs Catman

I just wanted to give a big thanks to all the great folks I met over the weekend who were out at Acme Comics Free Comic Book Day event.  You all couldn't have made me feel more welcome:)
The Acme team not only have a wonderful looking store, they put on a fantastic event to boot! You couldn't find a nicer group of people than the employees, volunteers and customers there over the weekend.  I'm looking forward to heading back to North Carolina already!
Oh, and this Catman & Huntress piece was inspired by a bit action that took place in the background of a fight scene in an issue of Gail Simone and Nicola Scott's Birds of Prey.
Thanks again, Erica!
