After talking about our shared childhood love of Mark Evanier and Dan Spiegle's Crossfire with my Daredevil editor Stephen Wacker the other day, I was inspired to dig out some of my old Eclipse comics.

DNAgents (another great one written by Evanier, with Will Meugniot on art duties for the most part) was the first one I had a flip through again after all these years. I couldn't help but sketch Tank here afterward :)

I haven't had much time for reading of late (what with juggling comic projects, family and whathaveyou) but I've slowly started catching up on the Azzarello, Chiang, Akins & Wilson relaunch of the series.  I'm really enjoying it! There are two hardback collections on stands now. Give 'em a look if you get a chance.

Just got my copy of the Legends of the Dark Knight: Alan Davis in the mail yesterday. After a quick flip through I just couldn't help but try my hand at drawing the Jason Todd Robin that Davis did so brilliantly.

Thor and the Warriors Three

I just got my comp copies of the new, FULL SIZE Thor: The Mighty Avenger trade that will be out next month and was inspired to revisit these guys.  I've probably said this a million times by now, but I am most proud of my work on Thor: The Mighty Avenger.  It was truly something special to work on.

If you are new to my work, or only know me through Daredevil or Captain America or these blog sketches, I hope you'll pick this trade up.  It is FULL SIZE (not digest size) and has all eight issues, plus the Free Comic Book Day issue and other back matter like character designs and covers included.

Captain America

Just revisiting an old friend here with Cap. :)  If you aren't familiar with my Eisner-nominated work on Captain America, you can pick up the Captain America and Bucky trade here or at your local comic shop.  ;)

It turns out that posting a sketch of Superman yesterday was rather fortuitous, as the new Adventures of Superman series at DC was announced yesterday.

Along with a murderer's row of amazing talent, I'll be illustrating a short story written by Jeff Parker and providing the variant cover for the first issue.  Beautiful colors on the cover (and on our story) by the amazing Matt Wilson.
