Here's a sketch of Elijah Snow from Planetary. This is one of the first pieces (not just at this show, but any show I've attended) that I just couldn't find time for during the day and had to take back to the hotel room to finish. Snow looks cool here, but I think my favorite part is the trees:)

I really love how this piece captures the appropriate mood. I'm not quite sure if "Snow looks cool here" was intended as such an obvious pun or not...
I'm really liking these illustrations, Chris. The suggested contours of the characters with the heavy line weight to suggest the light source is really effective. Fantastic job, I bet they would look great in color.

Chris, it's totally awesome in black and white. Don't pay attention to those COLORISTAS up there who wanna slap it up and down with a crayola. . . they're just a bunch of weirdos.
