Checkmate...and happy little me:)

Well, if I'm gonna keep posting about this book I'd better put the solicit text up, right? So here it is, along with a super-sweet cover by Kalman Andrasofszky!

CHECKMATE #21
Written by Greg Rucka & Eric Trautmann
Art by Chris Samnee
Cover by Kalman Andrasofszky
The sensational 2-part story “Mademoiselle Marie” begins! Long before World War II, a legendary French spy network was born — and now a kidnapping in Africa has turned the Mademoiselle Marie legacy against its latest standard-bearer, the Black Queen’s Knight! On sale December 19 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US

Alright, so I have absolutely nothing to do with these figures...except that I dreamed of owning them when I was like 7 years old!! Ah, if I could only go back in time and give these to little me to play with, instead of pretending my G.I. Joes were Titans members.

NEW TEEN TITANS: SERIES 2 ACTION FIGURES
Based on the art of George Perez, One of the most popular Teen Titans storylines of all time appears in 3-D, with female assassin Terra infiltrating the Teen Titans as a spy for Deathstroke (seen here without his mask), thus threatening the lives of Robin, Jericho, and the rest of the team! Each figure features multiple points of articulation and a base.Advance-solicited; On sale May 21, 2008 Action Figures • PI

Love that "multiple points of articulation"... back in MY day, they would have said: "bendable".

One starving musician came by to say: I'll keep my eyes out for Mademoiselle Marie!
Nice work!

Hey Megan. Yeah, when I was a kid my mom just called 'em "the first things to break when you play too rough". Like when I tried to get them to parachute from the top of the stairs with grocery bags tied to them.

Thanks for stoppin' by J.
