Superior Spider-Man

Last month, Superior Spider-Man made his first appearance in Daredevil #21, so I thought I'd start the sketches back up with a sketch of him.  He's also in issue #22 (that just came out) for a Superior Spidey/Daredevil team-up.  I had a lot of fun drawing this guy, especially for the team-up issue.  I've got more sketches planned for this week - be sure to check back!  Thanks for lookin'!

Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom Sketch Covers (Pt. 1)

I was so busy while drawing Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom, that I didn't get a chance to post any sketches or process posts.  So, I thought I'd spend this week catching up on all things Rocketeer on my blog!  Today we have some of the retailer incentive sketch covers I did.  I did a little over 40 of these guys and it was a real challenge to try and make each one unique.  Thanks for lookin'! Update to start the year!

I see it's been quite some time since I've updated this here ol' blog!  A huge thank you to anyone who still stops by regularly for updates, I'm so sorry they've been so few and far between.  We've moved twice in the last year and I have spent every waking minute drawing Daredevil and Rocketeer, so we've definitely been busy!  One of my goals for this year is to get this blog up and running again with sketches, covers and updates.  I hope to have more of that to share soon.

I have updated my Appearances page with my 2013 convention schedule.  I'll be at quite a few shows this year, all around the country, so I hope to see many of you in person!  Unfortunately, I've had to cancel my appearance at Heroes Con this year, but for the best of reasons.  Laura and I will be welcoming our second baby in June!!

So a very late Happy New Year to you all!  There's so much I'm looking forward to in the year ahead!

Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom #1 out Wednesday!

Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom #1, written by Mark Waid, art by myself and beautiful colors by Jordie Bellaire, is out this Wednesday, 8/22!!  CBR has a preview up so go take a look!  We all put a lot of heart into this series, so I hope you pick it up!

Also, apologies for the sporadic posting this year.  Drawing two books is leaving me with very little time to do much else.  I hope to be back to sketching and posting this fall, once I'm down to just working on Daredevil!  Thanks to those of you that still keep checking in on me.  I hope to make it up to you soon!

My Big News of the DDay!

As was mentioned in the "Next Big Thing" interview yesterday for Marvel.com, the talented Paolo Rivera is leaving Daredevil and instead of finding a replacement for him, I will be the sole, full-time artist on Daredevil!!!

Paolo gave his reasons for leaving the book in a really nice post on his blog and I wish him all the best on his post DD work. 


I hope those of you that came to the book because of Marco's and Paolo's beautiful artwork stick around to see what Mark and I have cooking for you.  I'm having a blast on this book, and I hope it's showing in my pages.
