Whatever Wednesday: Indiana Jones

The latest Indiana Jones installment may not have been the best film in the world... but considering the fact that the first three WERE, it's a pretty tall order indeed to try to catch lightning in a bottle four times in a row.
That said, it gets easier to watch on repeated viewings. I wish the same could be said for Superman Returns.

Poor Bryan Singer: he meant well...

I felt the same about the latest Indie. I remember Speilberg in interviews trying to make out they went back to basics special effects-wise to capture the practical, pre-CGI feel of the originals; what a total lie, since some of the CGI-d scenes disappointed me. CGI would've been fine but my suspension of disbelief faltered sometimes.

Oh, excellent sketch btw!

Yeah, the last movie was OK, it was not as horrible as everyone made it out to be, you did have to suspend disbelief (which is what movies are about, isn't it?)
Superman Returns does still suck, I agree, I am glad they are going to reboot it again...
This is an amazing rendition of Indy...

Great job on Dr. Jones and some nice whip action.

Maybe I need to rewatch the 4th Indy to give it another chance but man I remember sitting there and about half way through it I couldnt wait for it to be over. Harrison still could pull it off but that awful script....this was the one they all agreed on? I had to rewatch Raiders to get rid of the bad taste in my mouth.

The repetitive, yet varied, yin/yang inking pattern that forms the braiding of his whip is beyond belief. I now bestow upon you an honorary doctorate from the Steranko School of Mindbogglingly Talented artists. Wow, Chris!
