Though I would tackle another alphabet sketch today. Here we have Hulk for the letter H.

I had no idea how much I loved drawing Volstagg until I started Siege: Embedded. AND NOW I CAN'T STOP!

STARFIRE (F)

As Rico Renzi pointed out the other day, in a comment on one of my recent deviations on Deviant Art, I managed to mix up Starfire and Firestar. Gasp!

So this is sketch was done as an apology to my first comic crush STARFIRE.

We square now, Kory? ;)

JOKER (D)

As we continue on with the Alphabet sketches I wanted to take a crack at a slightly different approach to the Joker than my usual take. The gap toothed grin is a nod to Mike Hawthorne's interpretation:)

TORCH (C)

I suppose this could easily be the Fantastic Four's Human Torch instead of the Golden Age Human Torch, who is now referred to simply as The Torch, but I like to think that a flaming robot from the old days would have a messier looking flame than the organic one that Johnny Storm puts off. *cough* nerd *cough*
Oh, and the 'c' composition is a bit more on the nose with this one since a few folks said they had a hard time making out the letter composition on the last couple days. :)

BlACK CAT & SPIDEY (A)

From time to time in the coming months, since some of my compositions here have gotten a bit stale of late, I'll be taking a cue from Sean Murphy and using the letters of the alphabet to help define positioning of whatever characters I decide to tackle on some upcoming sketches.

Sound good? Okay!!

Also, after a bit of Googling to make sure I was drawing Felicia's old costume correctly, I realized that there a LOT of really inappropriate interpretations of the character online. I mean, in the above sketch she's being a bit of a tease but yeesh!
