Monster Monday: Superman's Pet
This little guy appears in the Menace of Superman's Pet, possibly the funniest and saddest of Superman tales, in World's Finest #112.
Menace is actually the first story collected in Showcase Presents: World's Finest Comics volume 2, which, amongst lots of other goodies, I got as a birthday gift from my in-laws this past weekend.
Who needs Krypto, Beppo, Streaky or Comet when you've got this fuzzy thing?

I was not previously aware of this. Is "gleek" the noise he made way back then? If so, a very likely origin for the Wonder Twin's pet monkey in the 70's cartoon. :)
