Storm

After yearning for the good ol' days in my last post, I started thinking about stuff in comics I really miss. One of those things, even though I know she's outgrown that phase and gotten married and all, is Storm with a mohawk.
I didn't want to take the time to dig through my comic boxes to make sure I got the outfit right or anything since it never takes me just a minute or two. I always manage to get distracted by another couple of comics I haven't seen in a long time and plunk down in the floor and start flipping through 'em... and before you know it, a minute turns into half an hour or more.
So for this I shot from the hip and just redesigned Storm's clothes as I went, and didn't waste more than fifteen minutes or so in the process.

Cool pic.
I had mixed feelings about Storm going all punk-S&M.

When Paul Smith drew her, I would gladly let her tie me up...
ahem...

But when J.R. Jr. drew her, it just didn't work for me.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks Jamie! Yeah I'm not sure I've seen much of the Romita Jr. version, but Smith's is what I had in my head when I was sketching this.
Speaking of Paul Smith, Leave it to Chance is another comic Smith did an amazing job on. Maybe I'll have to doodle one of the Falconer family and stick it up here some time.
