The Anchor

I was planning on drawing lots of Halloween type ghouls and goblins, or maybe some classic Universal Monsters, this week but after reading Phil Hester and Brian Churilla's The Anchor the other day I just had to get their lead character of "Clem" down on paper first.

If you haven't picked up the debut issue of The Anchor yet you're missing out. It's everything I had hoped it would be and more.

I'm no word-smith, so I don't feel like I can do it justice by telling you about it... just do yourself a favor and go buy a copy, plop down in your favorite chair and get ready for a really fun reading experience.

Oh, and don't worry about putting on your socks, 'cause they'd just get blown off anyway:)

Don't know this character either, but the drawing rocks.

Phil's going to owe you some money, 'cause based on your dramatic homage and enthusiastic plug, I'm going to be snagging issue 1 at my comic shop this week.

Hey, thanks for the Anchor love! Not that I had anything to do with the best parts of the book, but yeah, thanks!
