Arkham Asylum: Cavalier

I thought I was going really obscure with Cavalier but apparently he'll be making an appearance in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon so I guess he'll be as trendy as beards in no time.

I just saw that episode last night on TiVo! A fun and whimsical choice that your colors really bring to life. Way to think outside the box a bit. I love it!

This is very stylish and elegant in pose and execution. Like a very detailed storyboard panel or concept art-piece for an animated film. Is it markers with maybe some white pencil for highlights?

Thanks, Matt. I just watched it myself on the Cartoon Network site. It was good... but not nearly enough Cavalier:)

Thanks, Alan. You guessed it. Prismacolor markers and white colored pencil.

Great rendition of the character, Chris. Really dig the little details, too, like that shadow of his sword on the cape...

I'll have to try to find the Cavalier episode on Batman: Brave and the Bold on YouTube or something (the cartoon hasn't come to France yet) although my favorite version of the character has always been Tim Sale's from that 3-part story in Legends of the Dark Knight...

Again, nice job!

Jeez Chris, that's gorgeous. Love everything about this one. Love the arrogance that comes across in this piece (or at least the Pepe Le Pew-ness).

En garde ! Great depiction and the color you added makes it sing! I also caught the B&B episode and was pleasantly surprised to see him as well....Great piece Chris!
