The lightning took on a life of its own here. Kinda neat though. This was actually the first time I drew Thor in this costume. It will be my last I'm afraid. There are a number costumes out there that are just far too complicated to ever suffer through more than once. This one and the current Iron-Man armor are but a few.

This is one of your best ever, I reckon. And the dramatic lighting is one of the things that makes it so special, so great that you ran with it.
Great stuff, love the lighting on Thor's armour and the lightning trail from the hammer is a nice effect. What I really like is the facial expressions, Thor confident as he strikes him and Hulk's face shows that it hurt but you better bring more than that!
The power of the strike to the Hulk's face is tremendous...I think my jaw hurts a little bit now!!

I am digging your shadowing bigtime! Love that style.
Hey, are you going to NY Comic Con, by chance?
Thanks a ton, everybody!
I won't be attending the NYshow this year, Fred. I hear that it's a good one though...
I have to echo Brian's assessment of the piece down to the letter. The differential shading that you used to convey illumination and shadow is really fantastic. It's amazing to me that you were able to conceptualize and realize such a difficult effect to portray in black and white. Great stuff, Chris!
this piece is amazing, and i'd agree that it's one of your best. you've really captured the battle between these two powerful characters in one shot, i think. simply amazing.
